The Water Poet
In the heart of Shoreditch, London, you’ll find a ‘multi-tasking gem’ of a pub that has a variety of different spaces available, including dining rooms, a beer garden, a pool parlour and even a cinema. The Water Poet is a classic English pub with a twist, hosting many events throughout the year, including comedy and quiz nights, sporting events and private parties.
When it came to designing a range of menus that reflected the pubs personality, it was Imagist who had the honour of creating something that would stand out, while also being functional and hardwearing. Two variants of menu covers were produced – one for food and one for drink. Made from Colorplan Smoke 540g, they were branded using one colour litho print and encapsulated inside 500 micron Seta Pink and Ink coloured PVC. These were then screen printed and foil blocked to the face. The interior had welded PVC corner tabs fitted on all eight corners to hold the two pages securely. These menus were produced in two sizes with one an oversized A5 when folded and another oversized A4.
