Marloe Watch Company
Marloe is an independent designer and producer of wrist watches, focused on going against the grain to create traditional, hand-wound timepieces in an age where everyone is competing to release the next generation of smart watch as quickly as possible. Owners Oliver and Gordon believe in embracing the slow-living consumer market, and they strive to take things back to a simpler time where beautiful watches were powered by manual and mechanical movements. The company’s values are strongly bound to tradition and design, making their passion shine through with every piece they release.
We produced these shoulder boxes, which were covered and lined with Chinese-stocked black uncoated, emboss textured paper. An embossed logo was added to the lid with a clear foil. Inside consisted of two layers. The base layer was made to hold the watch and watch roll, and was covered in Bookcloth. The second layer, made to hold the guarantee card, was a foam insert covered in Bookcloth to match the base layer. A leather patch was sewn on, which had embossed text to one side. This was duplexed with grey board and covered in black uncoated stock paper (to match the large box) and black uncoated card. A cut out was included to hold the guarantee card, with a ribbon pull attached.
