The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has been focused on bringing the creative communications industry together since 1954. This unique event takes place annually in Cannes, exploring the value of creativity in branded communications from product and service development to the strategy, execution and impact.
Following on from the book-style boxes we produced for their 2018 festival, is the 2019 collection, with an additional design running alongside them.
Working directly with Cannes Lions, we produced three variations of boxes which were delivered directly to the festival in France. These were divided into Platinum, Jury and CMO boxes. All three formats were the same, with the papers used to cover the inner and outer being the differentiators. The Platinum box was covered in Colorplan Dark Grey paper, with a cord emboss, and lined with Colorplan Tabriz Blue. A rigid board insert and inner envelope were included, with a window on the lid, holding a plastic front and a ribbon lifter fitted to allow smoother opening. The format was the same for the CMO boxes, using a Colorplan Emerald with Buckram emboss. For the Jury boxes, we used one PMS-printed paper with a soft touch laminate. These also had a window but without a plastic covering, as well as the insert and ribbon lifter for opening.
