Brawn

Brawn is a neighbourhood restaurant on Columbia Road in East London.

A Common Thread worked with the brand to evolve and expand their initial offerings from a neighbourhood restaurant to an e-commerce platform, corner store and delivery service. As part of the expansion, Progress were invited to manufacture custom tote bags to help promote their three key brands: Brawn (their East London restaurant), Brawnswood (a collaboration with Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings) and Sargasso (their Margate-based bar).

The size and manufacturing specifications for each of the three tote bags were uniform, except for the colour and screen printed branding which were different on each bag. We manufactured the canvas bags using custom dyed heavyweight 16 oz canvas (each coloured to match a specific Pantone colour). All the tote bags were inverted seam stitched and incorporated short and long handles, a large pocket for records or a laptop, 3 loop pockets to securely hold wine bottles, a mobile phone pocket and a screen printed cotton twill label that was single line stitched to the gusset. We produced 2,500 bags in total and all were printed with custom brand graphics on both faces.

Production details included; short and long handles, a large pocket for records or a laptop, 3 loop pockets to securely hold wine bottles and a mobile phone pocket.
