Contagious

Progress have been working with Contagious in Edinburgh for a few years now and we believe this is one of the nicest jobs we have done for them. The 3mm blue tinted perspex was heat bent, glued, flame polished and screen printed. This pack was designed for Beefeater Bartender Kits and holds several books and ingredients within internal divider sections. -
Everyone Associates/Adidas MiCoach

Here are some production shots from a recent job we have produced for Everyone Associates. The boxes were litho printed, matt laminated, spot UV and foil blocked. They were supplied with foam inserts and hidden magnets which held the boot in place. A screen printed glow edge perspex lid then finished the pack off. These boxes were sent to Germany for the launch of the Adidas MiCoach football boots. The boots have a micro chip in the sole which collects movement data and stats from the wearer. -
Packaging Innovations

We recently exhibited at the Easyfairs Packaging Innovation show which was at the Business Design Centre, Islington. It was a very busy couple of days on the feet but we made some very good contacts. Please see images of our stand above. -
Reel Art Press

Just received these images through and thought i’d blog them straight away. A very exciting job for Reel Art Press. These boxes in both paper over board and wood were to hold limited edition books for the Rat Pack and Bill Gold. If you follow the link to RAP these books are available to buy. The paper over board deluxe boxes were covered in curious skin with black gloss foil and orange/gold foiling to the lids respectively. The wooden boxes for the Heritage Edition were ash veneered with laser engraved logo, magnetic click closure and perspex viewing window. Design was by Shooting The Breeze, Amsterdam and photography by Rene Mesman. -
Courvoisier Slipcases
This gloss perspex slipcase was designed by Stefi Orazi for Courvoisier. It was screen-printed gold to the front and laser etched also to create a diamond pattern effect. The inner tray was made from grey board which was covered and lined in a gold effect paper, to match the outer print. -
Design Project Q&A
These acrylic slipcases were made for Corporate Workspace and designed by Design Project. We got in touch with Design Project to see where they get their interesting design ideas from….1) What was the brief from you client?
The brief was quite simply to create a Corporate Workspace branded box to contain sales literature that clients would want to keep on their library shelves.
2) How did you decide on the format of the packaging?
The format was developed through understanding what we could do with the two different acrylics we had selected. We chose not to go down the more standard paper-over-board route, as we felt the kind of brands and products our client promoted demanded a more bespoke and unique solution. As one of the acrylics was glow-edge, we had to engineer the lid to hide the fixings. The final design looks fairly effortless, but in fact involved a great deal of prototyping to get the fit just right.
3) What inspired you to choose the materials that you chose for this project?
We’d already used 3mm glow edge acrylic to produce business cards for this client – the screen printing and laser etching worked so well with the material, we knew it was an obvious starting point. We just increased the weight to 5mm thickness, to make sure the finished box was more rigid.
4) What made you choose to work with Progress for this project?
Friendly, experienced, proactive and a willingness to try something that’s not been done before.
