Barra Gin

Barra Distillers are a new, independent spirits producer on the Scottish island of Barra, taking the name of their origin to use for international branding. D8 were the designers who helped them launch all aspects of their online presence as well as their packaging. We were excited to be a part of their launch. Describing their gin as an ‘island born, fearless spirit that is refreshing and clean’ it was important that their packaging reflected their product perfectly.

We produced these beautiful circular tubes to hold the bottles inside securely, covering the outer in G.F Smith Colorplan emboss paper, then branding them using a white foil block. The contrast and use of colours made these particular packaging pieces classically simple yet incredibly striking. These were produced in our specialist factory in England on a run of 2,000 – delivered direct to Barra distillers.
